Spend the night with us!

March 3, 2018, from 20 h 30 to 2 h, l’École de joaillerie de Montréal (EJM), located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, opens its doors to participants at the 15th night of the festival MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE. This activity is a unique opportunity for the public to discover the world of jewelry through multiple demonstrations.

Guided tour of the school and demonstrations

Throughout the night, our team of students will offer tour of the school to visitors and show different techniques : casting of ingots, metal processing; the public will learn more about welding, assembly and polishing of metal, some of the many steps necessary to the realization of jewelry.

LABO-MIX! exhibition

Space gallery of the school will present the exhibition LABO-MIX! which present the creations of 16 artists including 12 who gratuated from our school. In a few years, these jewellers made themselves known at national and international levels; they took part in many exhibitions in Quebec, Canada, United States, Europe and Asia. Therefore we are very pleased to receive this 6th edition of LABO-MIX! after having presented in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Trois-Rivières and at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto.

The exhibition will offer more than 60 works of jewelry and contemporary objects. These pieces of research mix different materials like ceramic, metal, resin, textile, wood, cement, plastic and many others.

This project of exhibition LABO-MIX! will allow reflection and lively and interesting discussions about the universe of contemporary jewellery in Quebec.
