Discover the crazy universe of two young prodigies of enamel, the Quebec Aurélie Guillaume and the American Zachery Lechtenberg, at the Gallery Noel Guyomarc’h.

The title of the exhibition, Toc Twee, juxtaposes a french word, TOC, which expresses the idea of junk and cheap, and the english word TWEE, an adjective, meaning kitsch, cutesy or “corny”. Therefore the Kitsch is the main theme of the exhibition.

Inspired both by modern comics, Aurélie’ s characters are more whimsical than the next in a cartoony world which oscillates between humor and dream. About Zachery creatures, although they are clumsy and funny, they nevertheless carry strong symbolic. (The Rat, for example, represents someone who is devoured by their passions; the Demon Oni represents the balance between the positive and negative energy of all things.)
